The NFL has tabbed K Dan Carpenter as its Special Teams Player of the Week for his efforts in a Week 1 win over Chicago.

Dan Carpenter has been named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week, the National Football League announced on Wednesday.

This is Carpenter’s first Player of the Week award as a Buffalo Bill and first since he earned the honor in Week 8 of 2010 (with Miami).

Carpenter is also the first Buffalo Bills player to earn Player of the Week honors in Week 1 since Roscoe Parrish was named special teams player of the week on Kickoff Weekend in 2008.

Below is summary of Carpenter’s performance against the Chicago Bears last week.
